Ice cold Matcha Latte

A refreshing summer drink that combines the tart flavour of matcha with the sweetness of milk and ice cream - perfect for warm days!



Ingredients (for 1 glass):

  • 1 tsp matcha powder
  • 2-3 tbsp hot water (approx. 80 °C)
  • 200 ml milk (or plant-based alternative, e.g. almond or oat milk)
  • 1 tsp honey or maple syrup (optional, to taste)
  • Ice cubes

Preparation:

Stir the matcha

Pour the matcha powder into a small bowl and pour the hot water over it. Using a matcha whisk or whisk, mix to a smooth, frothy paste until there are no more lumps.

Sweeten the milk (optional)

Sweeten the milk with honey or maple syrup to taste and stir well.

Pour the ice cream into the glass

Fill a large glass with ice cubes.

Combine the matcha and milk

Pour the matcha mixture over the ice cubes and top up with the milk.

Serve

Carefully stir the matcha latte with a straw or spoon and enjoy immediately.


Tip

For an extra creamy result, you can froth the milk slightly before adding
